Gradus GE-240 · cite this code — it is permanent. Rule id tuplet-silently-dropped-across-system-wrap
N/A — a Gradus implementation hazard, not a general engraving convention (a tuplet correctly straddling a LINE/SYSTEM break, as opposed to a bar, is normal in real engraving software and simply continues its bracket on the new system).
N/A (implementation defect) — contrast with Dorico/Finale, where a tuplet crossing a system break renders correctly with the bracket resuming on the new system.
This rule can be decided from pitches, durations and voices — no layout required. A validator can check it before anything is drawn.
Gradus GE-240 — A tuplet whose notes land across a barsPerSystem system-wrap boundary is silently dropped entirely, with no warning. Gradus Engraving Rulebook v1.0. https://gradusmusic.com/engraving/rule/tuplet-silently-dropped-across-system-wrap
