From the sign to the coda sign, then skip to the coda.
Printed at the end of a section (D.S. al Coda): go back to the sign 𝄋, play to the To Coda marking or the coda sign 𝄌, then jump to the coda marked with the same sign. Popular songs and show scores use it constantly.
Abbreviations: D.S. al Coda
It combines two jumps, back to the sign and forward to the coda, so lay it out generously: the segno above the staff, To Coda at the departure bar, and the coda clearly separated with its own sign. Check that page turns in the parts allow both jumps, and write the music out when the reprise changes.
