The deceptive resolution with the seventh aboard: V7 resolves to the submediant, every tendency tone keeping its promise — the promise broken is only the bass’s.

In the triadic deception two voices land on the submediant’s third and double it; with the seventh aboard, the seventh’s fall claims one of those places for the fifth, so the submediant arrives with its third single and its fifth doubled — the root left to the bass alone. The leading tone still rises, the seventh still falls — the deception is entirely the bass’s doing, rising a half step onto ♭6 instead of falling home.
The three upper voices of the model realization fit under one hand. Play both halves and notice the right hand barely changes: the deception and the true close resolve the same three obligations — only the left hand chooses differently. Carry it into A minor, G minor.
