When both a dynamic mark and a lyric occupy the space below a staff, they must stack (dynamic further out) rather than overlap

Lyrics sit immediately below the staff; dynamics, when present on the same system, are pushed further below the lyric line.

A vocal line with both a syllable and a dynamic mark at the same note renders the dynamic directly on top of or touching the lyric syllable instead of below it.
